Funding
On 22nd of April, 2021, the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania approved financing for infrastructure development in the territory between #Via Baltica and #Rail Baltica II, where #Baltic FEZ is located, also, new companies settle down actively. This financing consists of EU and government funds.
Aim
The aim is to create favorable conditions for business to invest in industrial and storage areas near Marijampolė.
Outputs
As a result in this territory water supply networks, domestic sewage networks, electricity supply networks, transport, communications and gas pipeline networks will be developed. The works will start in the 3rd quarter of 2021 and will have to be finished by mid 2023. With the support of 2,9 mln Eur for infrastructure development, industrial land plots up to 20 hectares (from 2 ha to 10 ha) are under proposition for manufacturing investors.
Partnership
Lead Partner of the project – Marijampole minicipality administration and partner – State Enterprise Lithuanian Road Administration, as Baltic FEZ has contracted Baltic Engineers to prepare technical documentation. Marijampolė region is proud to be an example of successful private public partnership initiatives.
